Cred că am ascultsystematic chaosat de vreo 10 ori ultimul album Dream Theater, Systematic Chaos. Îmi pare mai unitar şi mai bun decât precedentul Octavarium (excluzand totuşi piesa titlu, care este o bijuterie). Sunet de calitate, voci mişto (cum vocea lui James LaBrie e satisfăcătoare în studio şi varză live, în multe momente veţi auzi pe album şi alte voci, probabil ale drummerului Mike Portnoy), tobe, bass şi clape, chitara lui Petrucci, metale dar şi părţi melodioase în stilul binecunoscut. DT fac cinste progressive-metall-ului şi oferă un nou release de mare fineţe.

Mda, un album super mişto. Personal, cred că piesa Repentance (regret, pocăinţă) se detaşează de restul compoziţiilor şi aduce în prim plan originalitatea muzicală care i-a făcut celebri.

Câteva versuri din Repentance (în binecunoscutul stil DT, piesa are două mari părţi – mai jos sunt versurile de final ale părţii a doua):

We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.

Are these extravagant promises? We think not. They are being fulfilled among us – sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. They will always materialize if we work for them.
